SQL-Ledger® is a double entry accounting system. Accounting data is stored in a SQL database server, for the display any text or GUI browser can be used.

SQL-Ledger is platform independant and runs on any *NIX, Mac or Windows computer.

SQL-Ledger can be accessed remotely so people can be in different parts of a city, country or across the world.

The assembly feature can be used to build manufactured goods from parts, services, labor units and assemblies. When the assembly is sold all the accounts linked to the individual items are updated and stock levels adjusted accordingly.

Templates for invoices, orders, income statements, etc. can be modified to suit. SQL-Ledger can also be used with LaTeX to produce PDF or postscript.

Documents can be sent to a printer, file or fax, emailed or displayed on screen.

PhreeBooks accounting was developed as an open source ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) web-based application written for the small business community. The goal is to provide a multi-language web-based end-to-end enterprise management tool. Written in the widely availalbe PHP scripting language with the robust mysql database engine, PhreeBooks goal is to provide a low cost solution for small business concerns. jGnash is a double entry system, but you can make single entry transactions to support easy entry of adjustments to account balances. jGnash uses Accounts instead of Categories for double entry.
