What is Fiire?
Fiire is the most advanced solution for home automation and media control available on the shelves right now. It does more than even the $100,000+ solutions from Crestron, Control 4, AMX, Kaleidescape, LifeWare and Escient. Best of all it's based on LinuxMCE, an open source solution. Most of the cable boxes, PVR's and smart home solutions are also based on Linux. However, nearly all of them are closed solutions that don't let the user access the Linux desktop. LinuxMCE is different. It still is a self-configuring, black box solution so you don't need any Linux knowlege at all, and won't see the Linux desktop unless you explicitly switch it on. Fiire delivers all your media on one system with one remote. All your media and a/v devices throughout the home are available in every room that has a Fiire Station. HD PVR, premium content from cable box or satellite, DVD's, HD video, music, YouTube and online content, photos, gallery art. Fiire manages it all, catalogs it with cover art, and lets you navigate through your media lightning fast just by waving the FiireChief remote. The currently active media is tracked by which FiireChief remote started it, so if you carry your FiireChief with you and press the 'Follow Me' button, your media will follow you throughout the house to whatever FiireStation is closest to you at that time.

One remote controls every device in every room
Everything is controlled with only 3 buttons on one remote, the FiireChief. Yes, those same 3 buttons control everything from your existing TV and Stereo, to the media playback on your Fiire Station, the level of lighting in the room and the temperature of your jacuzzi. You can also control everything using a traditional i/r remote, mobile phone, tablet pc's, pda or desktop phone. Carry the same FiireChief remote into any room that has a FiireStation and it will automatically bind to it and control the devices in that room, and the buttons on the FiireChief are always correctly routed to whatever is the active source device in the room.
